At the secret heart of Burgundy
Villebichot keeps a low profile. And that is precisely what makes it an ideal base. This small village on the Cîteaux Plain nestles among woods, meadows and cultivated land, crossed by the Vouge, a quiet river lined with ponds and clearings. Here, the landscape breathes.
The Côte de Nuits begins a few kilometres away. Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vougeot, Vosne-Romanée — the names that make wine lovers dream are all reachable in minutes.
The Château du Clos de Vougeot, a landmark of Burgundian wine history, is a close neighbour.

Cîteaux Abbey, the cradle of the Cistercian order, is just a few kilometres away. In the village itself, the church of the Assumption (12th–13th century) and its Romanesque bell tower, listed as a Historic Monument, are well worth a visit, as is the Fontaine de Pierre, an old drinking trough lovingly restored by village volunteers.

Beaune with its Hospices, market and wine cellars — 25 minutes away. Dijon with its Cité de la Gastronomie and historic centre — 30 minutes away.
The A6, A31 and A36 motorways place Villebichot at the crossroads of Burgundy, without any of the traffic.

The Poney Club de la Folie is in the village itself (from age 3). A playground is 200 metres from the gîtes. And the Henriot farm, of course, will delight curious children keen to discover cows and crops.

Cîteaux Plain, forests, ponds, the Vouge river — a preserved setting for walking, cycling or simply contemplating. The tranquillity of a Burgundian village, far from the hustle and bustle.

Villebichot is the perfect base.
